Selected Project Experience:

Central London Residential Developments

We have experience with new build developments, conversions and extensions of existing flatted developments. Understanding that few development sites are ever the exactly same, there will always be a challenge in the planning process especially when looking to change the external envelope or siting of a building. We interrogate policy and other planning documents to best inform the client and architect as to the best design for the scheme. This follows years of experience working in both public and private sector planning departments/companies.

Andmore Planning have recently gained planning permission for a mansion block of 13 residential units in South London. This provided an increase in flat numbers on the site together with additional floors and landscaped amenity space, working in conjunction with Chassay+Last Architects.

Householder residential schemes can often prove difficult when up against strict policy or restrictions such as conservation areas. We will discuss your proposals with the Local Authority to influence the evolution of your development.

Andmore Planning are currently advising on change of use applications dealing with serviced apartments and hotels in central London locations.

Planning Application Submitted for B8 / Commercial Use Self Storage Unit in North London!

Working alongside ASA Architects we submitted a full planning application to increase the roof height of a major warehouse unit in North London. The application also included a side access ramp and four Thermosyphon solar air heating panels.

This is a major facility in the local area, and an important strategic location for self storage in North London. The variety of adjacent sites have meant that the application has required a lot of consideration, and as such the assessment included in the supporting planning statement is very detailed.

The high sustainability of this proposal will contribute to the Council's targets, as well as lower heating costs for our client.

New Primark Store, Westwood Cross, Thanet - a WYG Planning & Environment project for Land Securities

Major planning application consisting of over 70,000 sq ft of retail floor area within Westwood Cross Town Centre. The development proposed an extension and consolidation of the existing town centre with a standalone two-storey building. Being at the end of one of the retail terraces it provides a retail anchor for the town centre. The store opened in September 2012 and is providing a much need retail destination to help increase footfall in that part of the town.

Working with Chetwoods Architects, the design has been cited as a good example of modern retail design using high quality materials and excellent sustainability credentials.

Mixed-Use Scheme, Bicester, Oxfordshire for Home Comforts and Cherwell District Council

Mixed-use development is a trend that is being recognised as a form of sustainable development across towns and cities. Government initiatives to get upper floors of shops back into use is helping boost activity across the country. We have acted for clients looking for mixed ground and upper floor uses such as retail and commercial office space or residential units. Working closely with Lyons + Sleeman + Hoare Architects Ltd current schemes include a shop extension with office over two floors above in Bicester, Oxfordshire.

We are instructed to provide advice and submit a full planning application for a mixed use community building to accommodate council offices, a county council library, commercial office space and restaurants.

Planning permission has recently been gained for a new furniture store and show area, with associated offices uses. This was a positive step forward in the Bicester town centre redevelopment scheme, and work is due to start on site in the new year, once Andmore Planning have managed the discharge of the planning conditions.
